Our client, a well established Sudanese trading company with interests in construction, mining, exploration and oil field services etc, has won a roads/bridges build project as part of the infrastructure improvements now under way within the country and is in need of a specialist highway engineer to manage the project. Contract value is USD$288M.
The project is the design and build of a 615 km 2 lane surfaced highway, consisting of 239km main highway and 376km feeder roads linking communities in the area. Included in the build will be 11 steel bridges.
You will have responsibility for the project from inception through to construction, managing the workforce as well as controlling all equipments/materials, handling manpower and formulating project strategy and procedures.
You will need to demonstrate a successful track record of road and bridge building projects and have successfully completed projects on time and within budget. The successful candidate will be a skilled ‘roads and bridges’ build engineer with at least 10/15 years experience, ideally gained in road/highway projects in difficult terrains.
A good tax free salary and expatriate package is on offer.
